QuiltCon Charity Quilt

I am so proud of our Edinburgh Modern Quilt Guild. We only started our group less than a year ago and yet look at this stunning quilt we made together!! Have you heard about the QuiltCon Charity Quilt Challenge? The Modern Quilt Guild asked groups to make a quilt to be exhibited at this year’s

Together Circle Quilt – a FAL finish!

Yes it’s my third FAL finish this quarter! That’s a record for me 🙂 This is my Together Circle Quilt. This is the circle I belong to in the do. Good Stitches group on Flickr.  Every month we produce a new quilt for charity. I am usually a stitcher which means I just sew 2

FAL 2nd Quarter

Just snuck in to this quarters Finish-a-long!  With just a few hours to go before the deadline I am listing again the UFOs that I failed dismally to finish last quarter. I only managed to finish one of the six projects I listed at the beginning of the year and so I am featuring them

FAL 2014 – I am joining in!

I only managed to take part in the first quarter of last year’s finish-along, and only managed to finish 2 things! How useless am I? To tell you the truth I am actually quite a good finisher so I don’t usually have loads of projects to add. But this year I seem to have found

Far Across the Sea block Tutorial

I wrote all the way back here about the Do Good Stitches Charity Bee on Flickr. I am in the Cherish Circle and every month I stitch 2 blocks and send them off to that month’s quilter who puts them together and quilts them. I am happy being a stitcher and letting someone else do

Blogger is being very mean too me!

I first published this post last Thursday *a few weeks ago!* but something must have gone wrong with Blogger as it appears it has not been showing up in the dashboard/reader. I thought you had all gone very quiet, and was even more alarmed after I published another post yesterday and, again, heard a deafening

Too Busy to Blog – Part 2

Phew! I have finally got to the end of my mammoth sewing and crocheting marathon! So here are the next batch of projects completed for my Bearpaw Craft Classes venture. Do you remember the Sleepy Owl Pyjama Case I made last year? Well here is his big brother Wide Awake Owl Doorstop! I thought this
